Course Highlights:

The Chain of Survival:

  • Understand the critical steps of the Chain of Survival and their role in maximizing the chances of survival after cardiac arrest.
  • Analyze the importance of early recognition, early access to CPR, early defibrillation, and early advanced care.

Adult CPR:

  • Master the essential steps of Adult CPR, including high-quality chest compressions and rescue breaths.
  • Learn proper hand placement, compression depth and rate, and rescue breathing techniques for adults.
  • Practice Adult CPR on manikins under instructor supervision to develop muscle memory and confidence.

Child and Infant CPR:

  • Explore the key differences between adult, child, and infant CPR techniques.
  • Learn the proper steps for CPR on children and infants, including chest compressions and rescue breaths tailored for each age group.
  • Practice Child and Infant CPR on specialized manikins to ensure proper technique application.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs):

  • Understand the role of AEDs in emergency cardiac arrest situations.
  • Master the steps for using an AED, including attaching electrodes, following voice prompts, and delivering shocks.
  • Practice using a training AED under instructor guidance to build confidence in real-world scenarios.

Basic First Aid Techniques:

  • Explore first aid techniques for common injuries and illnesses, including bleeding control, wound care, applying bandages, managing sprains and strains, and recognizing signs of shock.
  • Learn how to respond to choking emergencies in adults, children, and infants.
